Vols Win Over Georgia Tech Showcases NEW 1-2 Punch With DeSean Bishop

DeSean Bishop led Tennessee’s rushing attack in its 45-24 win over Georgia Tech, but Daune Morris gave the Vols another explosive option. After Bishop rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns and Morris added 98 yards and a late 47-yard score, what should Tennessee do with both backs? Former Vols quarterback Jonathan Crompton tells Charlie Burris why Morris caught his attention, how the Bishop–Morris pairing reminds him of a past Tennessee backfield, and why he wants the Vols to build a package that gets Morris the ball in space. Could the two backs share the field more often? Charlie and Crompton also evaluate Faizon Brandon’s first road start. The freshman completed 10 of 21 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns, but Crompton says the numbers do not tell the whole story of Brandon’s poise against Georgia Tech. His ONE WORD for Tennessee’s win speaks to the confidence he sees growing around the quarterback.
